I planted our marigold seeds in late April when I got back from the UK. They have been flowering for some time now. I never transplanted them but decided to leave them to make a display in the big pot that I planted them in rather than spread them out in a garden.

Varieties
There are many varieties. French marigolds, Dwarf marigolds, African marigolds, and Single marigolds are a few.
Height
From 6 inches to 4 feet
Flowers
The flowers are orange, yellow, mixed, red, cream and maroon. They have rounded or flat heads.
Blooms
Flowering will be delayed if they are planted in shade. they will flower 45 to 50 days after the seeds have been planted. Take off the dead heads of the flowers to prolong flowering.
How to grow
It likes moist and well drained garden loam. They like the sun.
Where found
Marigolds originated in Argentina and Mexico.
They can now be found in many countries.
