Baseball in Grand Forks
Grand Forks has a wonderful baseball Stadium.
Each year an
is held in Grand Forks at The James Donaldson Park. It has been held here since 1975.This year, 2006 the matches are from Wed 30th August to Monday Sept 4th.
I went to Music in the park on Wed 30th August and was surprised to see tents put up in the City park there. The municipal camp site is right beside the park, so i wondered what it was that had brought so many people in, besides it coming up to the last long weekend of the year.. Labour day celebrations. Then a local inhabitant informed in that it was because of the Grand Forks International Baseball Tournament and that the teams camped here. I was told that the tents woudl probably be taking up all the park at the weekend!
