This year the fall fair was held on the weekend of the 16 and 17 Sept 2006
We went last year and it was held on the similar weekend in September. This year was the 61st year of having fall fairs. It has become a big tradition and a big crowd puller. People come from the neighbouring places and from further afield.
The fair started at 7am with a Cowboy Breakfast though I wasn't there to partake. I arrived about 11 am, along with many other people. We had to line up to park. The parks on the lower level were already full (as it was last year at this time) and the parks at the higher level were filling up quickly, though there was still ample room for many, many more cars.

The official opening was at noon. There was stage complete with covering, and plenty of chairs for people to sit and watch if they wanted.
At this time many people were enjoying a lunch. There were a variety of vendors there, as is usual at a place like this, in various areas of the fair ground, with seating available. There was also a tea garden and a beer garden.
There were several vendor isles for people selling all sorts, from honey, vegetables, clothes, hats, saddles, jewellery, pottery, and much more besides.
Things to see:
There were animals to go and see: cows (always my favourite!), horses, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, rabbits and guinea pigs. (and probably some I have forgotten to mention!)
There were areas with crafts on display: all sorts, from knitting, dressmaking, quilting, bread, cake and biscuits.
On display were:
vegetables: cauliflower, beans, cabbages, pumpkin and much much more.
dried flower displays.
photographs on display.
There were information booths.
There was a fair ground with rides for the young as well as those more daring! Plus a Pony Carousel for the younger children.
There were arenas where:
cattle was judged;there was a John Deare children's tractorpull;
there was a horse show;
there was a logging.
there was sheep shearing.
plus other show events.
There was music and entertainment on the stage during the fair.
There was an area for tots, where they could play in the sand pit.
There was a bouncy castle, a Sticker Wall and a bungee run (where the children race each other and get pulled back by the bungee).
There was plenty at the Fall Fair to keep the whole family happy!
