We got Snuggles about six months after getting Otis. She too came from the local SPCA. She was very friendly right from the start and loved to be cuddled and snuggled, hence her name. She only weighed 13 ounces when we got her but she gradually put on weight and now weighs about seven pounds, unlike Ben who weighs about fifteen pounds! Otis and Snuggles got on well together. He rarely chased her and would groom her and make a fuss of her. Life changed for her when we got Jaxx.
Jaxx would love to chase her and he taught Otis to enjoy it too! She took to keeping out of Jaxx's way. She had her favourite basket she would like to sleep in (originally bought as a laundry basket but never ever used for that purpose! It became Snuggle's basket right from the start, from her first time of settling in it!)

Snuggles likes to site here and watch the horses.
April 24th 2006. We bring Bosun. Snuggles is not too pleased to see him. She keeps her distance when we arrive home as she knows that jaxx likes to chase her. When she comes in at night she meets Bosun and hisses her greeting.
April 25th. Snuggles is getting more used to Bosun even though she went out at 3am with Bosun and kept her distance till the evening. then she was happy to be in her basket watching him!
April 26th. Snuggles is happy to watch Bosun from her basket and makes no move to go away from him. She goes out to the stack of hay and sits on it watching the horses.
May 1st 2006. Snuggles was up and waiting on the floor to greet Bo this morning. That is unusual for her as she usually watches from the safety of her basket. She could see Bo coming and she still waited, greeting him when the door opened and then climbing into her basket. She waited untill we came back from our walk before going outside herself and at that time she made sure Bo wasn't watching her as she did not want to be chased!
Late June and now Snuggles chooses not to come in at night. It is too hot for her and she chooses to sleep outside. I put food and water now in the shed that is near the barn so her and Ben can have it whenever they want.
Sept 14 2006
It is only ten degrees here and it is noon. We are due to get up to 12 C today which is at least ten degrees lower than yesterday and Snuggles does not like it! She has come inside and is curled up in her basket!!
We went away for the weekend to Kelowna. Unfortunately while we were away Snuggles got attacked by something, shaken and her back broken. Our neighbour and tenant buried her for us and broke the news to us on our return. She is very sadly missed.
