I have been a teacher since 1968. I trained in Devon UK and left Rolle College in 1968 and went to the outskirts of Coventry to start my teaching career. Two years later I was in Lymington, Hampshire teaching and I taught in several schools in Hampshire over the next thirty years. I mainly taught the younger child, from ages 4 through to 8.
I found teaching to be a very rewarding, if demanding, career. Everyday was different and brought new insights. The children would each gain different things and so every day was new. New to them and new to me. No two children ever took the same things from the lessons, even if they were identical twins. They were each unique. If the same lesson was taught to two different classes, then the outcomes would be different. Boredom did not have a place in the teaching career!
I believe each child is unique and each has a different gift to share with the world. Each will travel a different path in this life.
